boost2 Tube Treble Boost Pedal

Silky Mids, Sparkling Highs, and 24dB of Gain

Treble booster isn't really the right name for this pedal, but it is a close as we can get. The boost2 is really a high voltage, all-tube, clean boost effect that does 7 very important things we're sure you can't live without:

1. Boost your signal by up to an incredible 24 decibels to push your tube amp into overdrive
2. Saturate the natural tone of your guitar with the warmth and harmonics only a tube running at high voltages and current can give
3. Gently roll off the lowest frequencies of your guitar's signal to prevent the fuzzy or muddy sound you get when low bass frequencies are overdriven
4. Emphasize and add silk to the midrange spectrum and sparkle/chime to high frequencies
5. Overdrive your signal at higher saturation and bias settings
6. Make even a muddy humbucker sound clear and articulate
7. Dramatically reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

We designed the boost2 just like an amplifier's preamp. That means the boost2 will work with and react to your guitar and amp instead of sucking the tone out of them. 

The boost2 features a Saturation control to let you dial in the amount tube saturation and harmonic content, a Boost control control which controls the amount of boost, and a Bias control which sets the operating voltage and current of the 12AX7 and plays a part in determining the harmonic structure and content produced by the tube as well as a portion of the overall frequency response of the effect.  Finally, it has true bypass switching to keep your signal pure when not in use.

For maximum harmonic complexity, we apply over 230 Volts to the plates of a premium 12AX7 tube in the boost2, making it a true high voltage design. Of course, there is absolutely no solid state in the signal path.

As in all our pedals and preamps, a premium SoZo capacitor upgrade is available.

The treble boost concept was made famous by Eric Clapton's use of the solid state Dallas Rangemaster, which may be one of the most cloned pedals in the world.  You will be amazed at what this can do for your solos. Mr. Clapton was.
